Individual Counseling

There are many things in life that may prompt you to seek outside guidance or help. You are not alone! Dealing with difficulties in life such as anxiety, depression, marital or relationship issues, motherhood struggles, and parenting, to name a few, can be very overwhelming.

I believe it is so helpful to get an outside perspective and clinical insight on the root of the struggle. I approach each person as a body, mind and soul because I believe the three work closely together.

Counseling can be a great way to improve multiple areas of your life! Book a free consultation today!

Couples Counseling

Relationships are hard. They take selfless dedication and work from both parties. Difficulty can decrease, and deep wounds can heal when a couple does the work to change their negative cycle by creating a new, positive cycle. Sometimes we get so stuck in our perspective it is challenging to make these changes without outside help.

I understand the financial and emotional investment, and I am committed to doing my best to help you re-create the connection and relationship you deeply desire.

Counseling & Coaching

The Difference

Coaching is intended to help an individual through life transitions, changing poor behaviors, personal growth, etc. Issues such as clinical anxiety, depression, and other diagnosable mental health issues should be addressed in Counseling and not through Coaching.

If you as an individual have received a mental health diagnosis in the past you may still benefit from coaching depending on the state of your prior diagnosis, and having the understanding that Coaching is not intended to be a part of clinical treatment to any diagnosis.

Hi! I’m

Emma

I care about every person who walks through my door for who they are and what they are facing. There is so much more to therapy and life changing growth than just diagnoses.

My practice is holistic, approaching each person as a body, mind and soul. I meet with those who are facing hardship in relationships, life struggles, losses, motherhood, and personal growth in a professional and accepting environment.

I am excited to start this journey with you!

Important

Details

Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in length. If a longer session is desired please notify me ahead of time. Notice must be given at least 24 hours in advance for cancellations or the full session fee will be charged.

I do not offer family counseling at this time, and I only accept children age of 14 + years old.

I am a private pay only practice and I do not participate with insurance.

If you are a counseling client, I can provide the needed documents for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Essentially this would be submitting a request for reimbursement for an “out-of-network” provider. Please note that if you choose this option a diagnosis is required and will be seen by your insurance provider.

Another consideration for payment would be to use a Health Savings Account. Be sure to check the guidelines of your plan to see if this is an option.

I accept payment via credit card, debit card, cash, Vemno, and HSA/FSA cards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long is a session?
A: Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in length for all services. If you are interested in less or more time let me know and we can talk details.

Q: How frequent are sessions?
A: I suggest starting sessions weekly and moving to bi-weekly as things begin to feel more stable. This is something we will plan for and discuss at the start of counseling/coaching.

Q: Do you see children for counseling or coaching?
A: I see children 14 years of age or older.

Q: Do you see families?
A: I do not do family counseling. I would be happy to provide referrals for you.

Q: Do you accept payment plans?
A: Payment is due at the time of service. If you have extenuating circumstances please let me know and we will go from there.

Q: I want my spouse to attend with me but they refuse. What can I do?
A: Come! There is always personal work that can be done and that will likely give insight for the relationship as well.

Q: Can I use a Health Savings Account to pay for counseling services?
A: Check with your insurance first, but that can often be an option!
